6.0/6.4 Starter Spacer

A starter spacer that repositions the factory starter so it engages the new flexplate or flywheel ring gear at the correct depth after a Cummins swap. Required on some swap configurations depending on flywheel, flexplate, and adapter combinations.

When you need it

If your adapter plate thickness, flywheel offset, or flexplate position is different from stock, the starter needs to be spaced out to engage the ring gear at the correct tooth depth. Without a spacer, the starter can either fail to engage or grind against the ring gear and damage both.

Good news: when you buy one of our adapter kits, the correct starter spacer is included if your build needs one. You only need to buy a spacer separately if you are sourcing other components separately or doing a custom build.
