OEM-spec replacement water inlet gasket (Cummins part number 3906697) for 1989 to 2021 Dodge Ram trucks with the 5.9L or 6.7L Cummins engine. Used between the water inlet housing and the engine block.

Why you need it

The water inlet gasket commonly leaks when the housing is removed for swap work, bracket installation, or coolant system service. It is one of the cheapest parts on the engine but a coolant leak here can cause overheating and head-gasket damage. Always replace the gasket when the inlet is unbolted.

We include two of these gaskets with every AC/Alt bracket kit because installation typically requires removing the water inlet. You only need to buy this separately if you are doing standalone gasket service.
